Founded in 2016, NuDD (Nude, Drink & Draw) has hosted over 200 unique life drawing workshops and events to date. Rooted in traditional figure drawing, NuDD infuses the experience with a vibrant, lighthearted spirit. We trade the staid, serious atmosphere of conventional studios for a playful, whimsical approach. By collaborating with a diverse array of performing artists—from contemporary dancers to fashion designers—we curate thematic drawing sessions that foster an imaginative, deeply interactive environment.
What truly sets NuDD apart is our devotion to community, creativity, and a radically open, non-judgmental ethos. Here, there is no pressure for technical perfection; instead, the focus shines on the pure joy of drawing from life and the magic of a shared experience. Through this unique philosophy, NuDD offers creators a refreshingly spirited space to explore figure drawing in its most uninhibited form.
Meet Sing
I’m an architect and interior designer by training, but somewhere along the way, I fell in love with life drawing. Whenever I moved to a new city or traveled, dropping into local sketch sessions became my favorite ritual—a way to plug into the creative scene and meet great people without the awkward small talk.
That community energy inspired me to build NuDD in Hong Kong in 2016. What started as roving pop-ups in neighborhood bars, cafes, and co-working spaces eventually found a permanent home base in To Kwa Wan in 2023.
We love collaborating with like-minded venues, artists, and hosts who bring good vibes to the table. Our sessions are often designed to be immersive, a little unexpected, and playfully experimental. NuDD isn’t a rigid classroom—it’s a laid-back creative playground where artists of every skill level can unwind, share ideas, and make art together.
